Pillow block generator
Generate a printable pillow block — a bolt-down housing whose pocket is cut for a named bearing, with slotted feet
A bolt-down housing for a bearing you already own. Name the bearing and the pocket is cut from the same published table the bearing generator uses, so 608 means 22 mm across and 7 mm wide — a shield or seal suffix is understood, so 6204, 6204ZZ and 6204 2RS all work. The pocket is a press fit on purpose: a bearing that spins in its housing has turned the housing into the bearing surface, and a printed one wears away, so it is cut a tenth over nominal and a printed hole runs small enough to still grip. Two things move on their own and the panel says when — raise the shaft centre too far and the housing stops reaching its feet, so it is brought back down; bring the bolts in too close and a hole would break into the housing wall, so they are moved apart. Slotted feet are the default so the block can be slid into line with the shaft before it is tightened. It arrives feet-down with nothing needing support. Download a print-ready STL or 3MF.
