Large models are much quicker to edit: selecting, moving, nudging, recolouring or resizing thousands of parts at once, and a part repeated thousands of times is drawn from one shared copy.
Selected parts get a light tint. Past 200 selected, a box replaces each outline, so very large selections stay smooth.
The Scene tree stays quick with thousands of rows: it draws only the rows in view.
A running AI generation shows its stage and how long it has been running. Close the Generate window and a badge on the viewport keeps showing it; open the window again and it picks that run back up instead of offering you a second paid one.
The Generate window opens on the recommended model.
On an English page, owlcad.com offers the same page in your language when your browser prefers Spanish, German or French. It never switches for you, and “Continue in English” hides the offer for good.
Signed in, the language you choose follows you to a new device (opening a link in another language doesn’t change it), and links from the editor and your account pages to the rest of the site keep it.
A part inside a component you haven’t opened can be inspected but not edited from outside: “Edit component” opens the component on that part. Before, some edits failed and others changed every copy without saying so.
Fixed
After you restore an earlier point in your history, a reload no longer brings the discarded steps back as steps to redo.
Escape cancels a typed Rotate by or Scale by amount, and picking a colour a part already has no longer adds an undo step.
After renaming a Scene tree row with F2, focus returns to the row, so the next arrow key moves through the tree instead of moving your model.
A parametric AI generation that needed a second, repair pass no longer throws that pass away because its rotations were read in the wrong unit.
If a sculpted AI model can’t be saved to OwlCAD’s storage, the generation fails and refunds your credits, instead of delivering a link that later stops working.
Dragging a hinge or slider joint’s slider moves every copy of a repeated part as you drag, not only when you let go.
Ungroup is no longer offered for a part selected inside a component, where it failed with an error.
A part you hid inside a component is left out of an export of visible parts, as it is on screen. Before, it was always exported.
A mirrored copy of a component placed many times no longer draws inside out.
The section view cuts copies of a component placed more than once, which stood whole through the cut, and measuring on the cut face places the point there, not on the plate behind it.
