Threads take a standard designation, metric or UTS, and the diameter and pitch follow. Every thread now starts with a lead-in instead of a knife edge.
A hose and thread adapter generator: two ends set independently as a barb, a spigot or a thread, joined by one smooth body with a real bore.
Fasteners gain countersunk, button and thumb-screw heads.
The snap-fit generator shows the bending strain that decides whether a clip survives assembly.
The worm drive can make a hobbed wheel, so the pair actually goes together.
AI has its own panel, and Modify with AI is now a conversation.
Cancel a stuck import, export or print check.
Download and open .owlcad project files on the web. File > Open shows a project picker, and File > Import takes pasted OpenSCAD code.
Document JSON: view and hand-edit the open document as data.
AI agents connect through mcp.owlcad.com and can import STL, OBJ and 3MF files as projects, update a project in place, and delete one.

Threads build what they claim at every length and size, and fastener heads sit on the thread instead of a millimetre into it.
Meshing gears get the backlash a printed drive needs, and Gridfinity bins, timing pulleys and sprockets are built to their published specs.
Dense models can be imported and exported as 3MF and exported as OBJ, and saving a large project to a file no longer crashes the tab.
The size readout measures rotated objects tightly instead of overstating them.
The 3D previews on the website use the same mouse buttons as the editor, and tablets get a full-size canvas.
A selected edge or vertex is now visible, and copying nothing no longer clears your clipboard.

Connect an AI agent over MCP: Pro users create a personal access token, and the agent can build, render and check models without a browser.
Hollow can leave chosen faces open, for trays, lids and enclosures, and AI generation can do the same by naming a side.
Import OpenSCAD .scad scripts and .csg files as editable shapes, including files pulled in with use and include.
Revolve through part of a turn, taper an extrude as it twists, and offset a 2D profile before extruding.
More sketch constraints: collinear, point on line, symmetric, concentric and tangent.
Reference images are objects you can select, move and seat on any view plane.
An optional TinkerCAD-style all-in-one gizmo, with a rotation protractor and snap ticks.
Every built-in generator is a customizer at /customizers, with its own page and an Add to my project button.
When more than one AI model is available to you, Generate lets you choose, showing how each measured and what it costs. Pro users can bring their own OpenAI or OpenRouter key.
Heavy scans can be simplified as they import.

Opening the same project in two tabs of one browser no longer lets them overwrite each other: one tab edits at a time.
Right-click keeps working after you touch a reference image.
AI generation no longer fails on a wrapped or cut-off model response, and a failed generation tells you no credit was used.
Modify with AI no longer asks people using their own key for a credit.
Spurious timeout errors after a briefly frozen tab are gone.
Switching projects no longer carries tool state or a restored scene over from the last one, and a project with an empty history no longer opens blank.

OwlCAD now speaks Spanish, German and French, from the homepage and pricing to the gallery and every help centre article.
The editor is translated too: menus, panels, dialogs, generator settings, the tour and the keyboard shortcuts.
A language menu in the header, with localized addresses such as /de/pricing.
The dashboard, checkout, billing portal and account emails follow your language.
Parts made or edited by AI are named in your language.
Email verification, with a verification page inside the app, plus password-reset and welcome emails.
Loading indicators across the dashboard.
Send Feedback shows the recent-action trail it attaches, and you can leave it out.

Menus, the panel rail and dialogs work from the keyboard, and reduced-motion settings are respected.
SVG imports keep their aspect ratio and skip hidden definitions.
An empty or broken STL or OBJ says no geometry was found instead of importing an invisible part, and oversized meshes stop early.
A duplicated project keeps its reference images.
A device with a wrong clock can no longer lock you out of editing a project.
The homepage no longer flashes raw text on a hard refresh.

Sweep and loft: draw a path in the viewport and sweep a profile along it, or loft between profiles. Extrudes can also twist into helices.
Assemblies: mate parts face to face, then scrub a hinge or slider through its travel.
Gridfinity bins, threaded jars, board mounts and pulleys arrive as generators that stay live: reopen one to change it, or bake it to editable parts.
Gridfinity bins can add M3 screw holes over the magnet holes.
Patterns gain grid and mirror modes.
The enclosure generator cuts a vent field and cable-gland holes in the wall you choose.
Customizable models can offer a colour swatch and on/off feature toggles, and a multi-colour scene exports as a multi-material 3MF.
Modify with AI can edit generators such as Gridfinity bins, gears and hinges.
Lock proportions while editing scale or dimensions, and see a live triangle count for the selection.
Pinned panels can be dragged to reorder, and renaming a variable updates every reference to it.

Copies, pastes and pattern instances keep their colour, visibility and variable bindings, and those survive a reload.
A sketch outline that crosses itself extrudes or revolves as a clean solid instead of torn slivers.
Letters with holes in 3D text preview exactly as they export.
A project whose history contains a step that can’t be replayed still opens.
Pattern and array copies show their selection outline.
The right-click menu stays on screen near the bottom edge.
