Modify with AI: describe a change to your model in plain words, preview the result, and confirm it.
AI generation opens in its own window with a preview before you insert, keeps running if you close it, and lists your results on a new AI models page.
Customizers: publish a model with sliders and options anyone can adjust and download, share a configuration by link, or embed it on your own site.
AI can set up a customizer’s controls for you, and adjust a model from a plain request like “make it 20% taller”.
Joint generators: snap-fits, living hinges, pin hinges, annular snaps and a print-in-place ball and socket.
Gear generators: gear trains, planetary gearboxes, herringbone gears, rack and pinion, bevel gears and a worm drive.
Reference images: place a drawing or photo on any plane, scale it to real size, and trace it in a flat 2D view.
Rearrange the editor: dock panels on either side by drag and drop, and right-click a tool to pin it to favourites or change its shortcut.
Pro members can run AI generation on their own provider keys, free of credits.
Project lessons in the help centre walk you through building a real printable object, step by step.

Cancelling a move into an earlier point in history puts the object back, and a single-axis move no longer drifts sideways.
Successful AI generations are kept until you delete them, instead of disappearing after 30 days.
Running the print check now highlights its problem areas in the 3D view.
A very large mesh export asks before writing a file big enough to overwhelm a phone or tablet.

Move a face, an edge or a single corner of a solid, several at once, and type an exact amount after any move, rotate or scale.
Variables and expressions drive dimensions, and configurations let one design export in several sizes, with parts switched on or off per configuration.
Maker hardware as parametric shapes: screw holes, heat-set insert pockets, washers, nuts, nut traps, standoffs and slots.
Spur, helical and internal ring gears, gear racks, and threads with ISO profiles and standard pitch presets.
Vents, grilles and honeycomb cutouts, a project-box generator, and reference footprints for common boards such as the ESP32.
The parts library adds brackets, mounts and an enclosure and panel kit, grouped into Maker, Basics and Creative collections.
STEP export now works for meshes too, rebuilding holes, bosses, domes and fillets as true curved surfaces; very large exports run on the server for Pro members.
A Merge boolean that bridges small gaps so separate pieces print as one body.
Version history shows a preview of each restore point, and a slow geometry computation can be cancelled.

Round and clearance no longer collapse a hollowed or thin-walled part.
Face edits no longer leave slivers, spikes or fins along the edited rim.
The scale gizmo and the face tools no longer jump when you switch axes or drag again.
The viewport recovers when the graphics context is lost, instead of freezing on a black canvas.
The selection size readout updates when variables or configurations change the geometry.
A single modifier is no longer treated as a group, and you can remove it from the Modify menu.

Pick a printer for each project: the grid matches its build plate, and parts can be re-arranged on the plate.
Drag an object onto another and it seats on that surface, whether top, side or underside.
Extrude or pocket any face of a solid, then tilt, taper or scale that face with its gizmo.
A clearance modifier sized to your printer, a live print preview that tints overhangs and thin walls, and an interference check for parts that collide.
AI generation can start from an image as well as a text prompt.
The gallery gets likes, comments and remix, and the parts library takes community submissions.
A help centre with search, ? badges on every tool, short tutorial clips, and an interactive build-your-first-model lesson.
Starter templates, a first-run tour, and a guide for anyone coming from Tinkercad.
Classrooms for teachers: students join with a code and no email, hand in assignments, and share work in a private class gallery.
The editor works on phones and touch screens, OwlCAD installs as an app from your browser, and curved shapes stay smooth at any size.

Edits made while a new project was being created, or just before switching projects or accounts, are no longer lost.
Saving no longer triggers a spurious reload about a newer version.
Scaling with the gizmo no longer applies the change twice, and the gizmo stays with the object while you drag.
Drop to plate is a single undo step, and auto-orient seats a part flat on the bed.
Print check no longer presents sampled results as guarantees.
A duplicated project keeps its history.

Place parametric shapes and combine them with union, subtract and intersect, with undo and redo for every step.
Import and export STL, 3MF, OBJ and GLB, with automatic mesh repair and a repair report on import.
STEP export for solid models, fillets, chamfers and text included, and STEP import to bring solids back in.
SVG import as an editable extrusion, and SVG export as a top-down silhouette or a cross-section for laser cutting.
Sketch a profile with exact dimensions and constraints, extrude it, and push or pull faces to reshape a solid.
Rounded boxes and cylinders, a round-edges modifier for any solid, a fillet on an edge you pick, and a Hollow modifier with drainage holes.
Print-aware from the start: printer profiles with a build-volume check and scale-to-fit, lay flat on a face, auto-orient, and a print check for overhangs and thin walls.
Linear and circular arrays, copy and paste, a two-point measure tool, live dimensions, work planes with alignment snapping, and reusable components you edit once.
A history timeline: change an earlier move or parameter and the steps after it rebuild, plus version history with restore points.
