Move a face
Drag a face to push a boss or pocket, or click it and move / rotate / scale it with the gizmo.
Move face grabs any flat face and reshapes the solid: drag it for a straight push along its normal — growing a boss outward or cutting a pocket inward — or click it to pick it and drag the gizmo, where pushing along the normal adds or removes material while rotating or scaling leans and lofts the surrounding walls. (It absorbed the old separate Extrude-face tool — the drag is the extrude.) The gizmo persists after each commit so several edits chain in one session, and it works on any solid, including booleans and imported meshes. Unlike Push/Pull (which resizes a primitive dimension) it applies to any geometry.
- Activate Move face.
- Drag a flat face outward for a boss or inward for a pocket (a ghost previews it).
- Or click a face to pick it — a gizmo appears — then drag the gizmo to move, rotate, or scale it (press M / R / S to switch).
- The face stays selected after each edit, so you can keep adjusting it.
