Move an edge

Click an edge, then move, rotate, or scale it with the gizmo — the adjacent faces follow.

Move edge grabs an edge of any solid and deforms the body so its faces follow — a direct mesh edit, not a CSG sweep, so it reaches shapes push/pull and Extrude face can’t. The gizmo persists after each commit so several edits chain, and it works on booleans and imported meshes. Like the fillet tool, an edge is captured in world space, so a later move or rotate of the body stays correct; changing the body’s parameters afterward can invalidate the capture.

  1. Activate Move edge.
  2. Click an edge to pick it — a gizmo appears on it.
  3. Drag the gizmo to move, rotate, or scale the edge (press M / R / S to switch).
  4. The edge stays selected after each edit, so you can keep adjusting it.
