Lay flat

Rotate a part to rest on a chosen face.

Lay flat picks a print orientation in one click by snapping a chosen face to the plate — handy before exporting so the part sits the way it should print.

1. Select an object and open Orient → Lay flat.
2. Click the face to sit on the plate.
3. The part rotates so that face lies flat at Z = 0.
