Build a numbered die

A cube with recessed pips — boolean subtraction and a duplicated pattern in one quick project.

A die teaches the single most useful modeling move — subtracting one shape from another — plus duplicating a shape into a neat pattern. Watch the walkthrough, or build it hands-on from Help in the editor.

  1. Add a Box — the default is already a true 20 mm cube.
  2. Add a small Sphere for a pip, shrink its radius, and position it just below the top face; duplicate it into the five-dot pattern.
  3. Subtract the pips from the cube so they become clean, rounded recesses.
  4. Check it for printing and export a print-ready file.
