Outline or cross-section for 2D / laser.

SVG exports a 2D outline or cross-section of the model — useful for laser cutting, drawings, or vector art rather than 3D printing. Choose which side it is drawn from: the top view is the footprint on the build plate, front and right are the model seen from those sides, and a cross-section cuts straight through it at the position you set. Curves come out as true circles and arcs — a hole stays a circle of its real diameter rather than a ring of straight facets; pick Segments to keep the facets instead. Filled draws a solid shape; Cut lines draws hairline red outlines with no fill, which laser software (LightBurn, Glowforge, xTool and print-driver lasers) reads as paths to cut rather than an area to engrave.

1. File → Export → SVG.
2. Choose the view — top, front or right — and outline or cross-section.
3. For a laser, pick Cut lines.
