Access tokens for AI agents
Let an AI agent or a script work with your models on your behalf.
An access token lets something that is not you-in-a-browser act on your OwlCAD account — an AI agent building a model, or a script exporting a batch of files. It is a Pro feature, and each token carries only the scopes you tick: reading your projects, creating and editing models, exporting files, and running AI generation (which spends your credits, the same as generating in the app). Grant the smallest set that does the job — read alone is the default. You can hold up to ten tokens at once, and the list shows when each was last used, so an unused one is safe to revoke. Revoking takes effect immediately and cannot be undone; anything still using that token stops working. Tokens follow your plan, so they stop working if Pro lapses. Treat one like a password: it is as good as your account within its scopes, so keep it out of shared repositories and screenshots, and revoke rather than reuse if you are unsure where it has been.
- Go to your Account page and open “Access tokens”.
- Name it for where it will live — “Claude Code on my laptop” — so you know what you are revoking later.
- Tick only the scopes it needs: read your projects, create and edit models, export files, run AI generation.
- Choose an expiry — 90 days by default, up to a year, or never — then press Create token.
- Copy it straight away: we store only a hash, so it is never shown again. Press Revoke to kill a token immediately.
