# OwlCAD

> OwlCAD is a free, browser-based parametric 3D modeler built for 3D printing. Sketch, extrude, boolean, edge fillet, hollow, and AI-generate parts, then export print-ready STL, 3MF, OBJ, GLB, or STEP (beta). No install required, private by default.

## Core Capabilities
- **Parametric 3D CAD:** Construct models with an editable feature history, profile extrude and revolve, exact dimensioning, and analytic STEP solid export.
- **Mesh Repair & Utilities:** Import, view, move, scale, hollow, repair non-watertight STLs/3MFs, and prepare models for 3D printing.
- **AI 3D Model Generation:** Generate editable parametric models or sculpted meshes from text prompts or images (OwlCAD Pro, or bring your own provider key).
- **Private & Classroom Ready:** Zero sign-up to start modeling. Projects are stored locally or in private cloud storage. Built for K-12 use with COPPA/FERPA in mind, pseudonymous student accounts, and a signable district DPA.

## Supported File Formats
- **Import:** STL, 3MF, OBJ, GLB, STEP, SVG, DXF, OpenSCAD (.scad, .csg), and PNG/JPG/WebP images (traced into solid shapes, or made into a relief or lithophane)
